Miscanthus sinensis 'Graziella'

One of the best Miscanthus for Northern climates because it blooms earlier than most of the others.  In late summer, tassel-like inflorescences open pinkish silvery white well above the foliage, turning into fluffy, silvery white, ostrich feather like plumes as seed matures.

The fine, slender leaves are green turning a rich copper, red and orange in the fall before finally fading to a wheat color for winter.  The flowers persist well into winter.  Foliage holds up to wind and snow.

Strictly clump forming, has an upright form with graceful arching foliage.  Is very similar to Gracillimus, but has a slightly more upright shape and its overall clump height is shorter.

Is best in full sun as it has tendency to flop in too much shade.  A very versatile grass, can be used in almost any situation.
