Miscanthus sinensis 'Zebrinus'

A very popular landscape grass. Dark green leaves have irregularly spaced, horizontal bands of yellow variegation.  A strictly clump forming grass with an upright form and graceful arching foliage.

Pink/copper tinted flowers appear in tassel-like inflorescences above the foliage in late summer, gradually turning into 8-10 inch silver white plumes in fall.  Flower plumes persist into winter.  A very easy to grow, low maintenance plant. Very striking as a specimen or accent that can be used in just about any situation.

Is best in full sun as it is less vigorous and has tendency to flop in too much shade.  Cut foliage back to ground in late winter or early spring before new shoots appear.
